Best title I could think of to get the point across.

New site online can be found here http://pintofplain.com/.

You can enter the pub details and prices of drinks to compare your local to others around the city.
It has a handy feature that allows ye to enter your normal round and tells you the cheapest pub to ge it in, Its only online today so will need a few entries from drinkers to get it running properly.

Now you have an excuse to go on a pub crawl. You can call it research.

I can't believe there's scumbags selling a pint of heineken for 6.50. only in Dublin would you see that sort of rip off.

the site should show a few pics though. so you get an idea of how posh or how manky a place is

The site grew out of conversation like that in pubs.

Will mention the photo idea to my mate.

And there's one of the reasons I set up the site.

Pictures will be coming. I have a ton taken but I just haven't gotten around to sorting them all out yet.

The map needs to be updated, i've entered i think 4 more bars and they not showing.

Plus, the bar list sticks to the same 10 no matter which page number you click

When you were adding them, did you click on the map underneath?

I've added them to the map anyway.

And the bar list should paginate properly now - fix one bug, break something else...

Here's an idea Draco, put an area on each page where you can rate the doorstaff. I'd love to be able to see before I go out if any particular venue has a habit of putting an ars*hole on the door, "regulars only", etc...

I suppose , when you get round to it.. you will have the early and late bar prices..

Bruxelles for example ...

Forget what the early price is(probably 5.00) .. but guinness has gone up to 5.50 after 11ish..

Can you believe I only stumbled onto that site about 3 days ago?

I original had the idea of the site about 2001/2002 and had a really crappy version that withered on the vine. For various reasons, I decided recently to resurrect the idea. There's at least 3 other pub listing sites out there but that doesn't really bother me. Just means I can verify addresses easily!
