Right so I went to this last Sunday in Hyde Park - anyone else from Boards at it? It was fantastic, weather held out so it was lovely and dry even if a bit cold (read bloody freezing :p)

If you didnt make it there are a load of videos up on YouTube from it which you should really check out. One of the more interesting ones was from a guy who apparently was runner-up in XFactor singing Music Of The Night. There was a lot of talk from major Phantom aficionados saying we were looking at the new Phantom on stage and judging from his performance maybe so. We were also treated to the exclusive announcement of the title to Phantom 2 by ALW himself. Looking forward to hearing more about that in the coming months.

I loved to see how it was done on the night too especially when they had to keep coming out on stage asking us to cheer again because someone screwed up the recording . Its going to be on BBC Radio 2 in October I think but I'm hoping for something on TV or DVD at somepoint too given the number of cameras present. I'll be particularly interested to see how or if they fix Lee Meads screwup at the start of All I Ask Of You, they didnt get a rerecording of it on the night anyway :D

It might sound like an odd choice but if you'd heard him properly on the day I don't think you'd be so quick to dismiss him. While he certainly would have quite a bit of work to do that video I linked to doesn't really do Sundays performance justice.

I didn't actually even watch the video, I saw him on an episode of X Factor and he's supremely annoying! Not to mention freakishly monochromatic... ;)
