am i being ripped off this is on a laptop wireless
    thanks in advance for info

Please learn how to test your speed properly before assuming, that you are being ripped off.

    - do not use Windows Vista when testing .. network drivers in Vista are mostly crap. Use Linux, Mac OS X, maybe Windows XP.
    - do not use Wireless when testing ... use a cable connected to your router or directly to connected to the broadband without using your router.
    - make sure no background downloads are running (torrents, windows update, anti-virus update etc.), because they will pull your result down.

Once you've done that, test again. If the result still is crap, talk to your provider.

    /M

The reason is simple - Eircom. 4 months ago i've moved house and ALL that time was trying to order phone line from "company" named above. They were stating that someone already using phone line at my flat! Though, i never had any landline in my life... I've faxed them my lease agreement as proof of my address but that was useless. So, after 4 months of fighting now i have phoneline. BTW, NTL, ClearWire, Ripwave are unavailable in my area. That's why i'm using mobile cr*p.

Are you aware you can get faster speeds from lots and lots of companies?

Dublin 7 has ADSL2+ (mostly the city centre exchanges) so you could get a faster speed?

On UPC Internet 10mb package tested at 5:39am this morning and have been getting this speed all day

    Provider: UPC Internet 10MB Cable

P.S the reason for no line noise and sync rate status is that my cisco epc2425 router wont let into the statistics page :(
