Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

FAI Youth Academies

Any word on when these new professional youth academies that the FAI have promised will start?

Hopefully such pro youth academies will stop the efflux of our young teenagers to British clubs where they now have little chance of making it as a pro footballer.

Paul McGrath, Kevin Doyle, Roy Keane and Kevin Moran are living proof that players should stay in Ireland longer. The above are some of Ireland's best players ever and stayed here until they were quite mature playing in the LOI.

It can be clearly seen that its essential for our International team that we develop a professional league in Ireland, supported by a large professional youth development system to provide players to our International side as British clubs are no longer producing many top class Irish pros.
