will my Blackberry work in Japan ?

    Hi All,

    I have a Blackberry Pearl (enterprise setup) on vodafone ireland. Will it work in Japan ? I also have a Nokia E65, would that be the better option to bring with me ?

    It should work, but the data charges will cripple you.

    Call Vodafone customer care to check what the rates are, you'd be best off disabling the BB functionality whilst over there.

    bumping my own thread here.

    Spoke with Vodafone, they said Japan has a 3G network only, and as such my Pearl or Curve Blackberries will not work over there.
