Is there a way of like signing the register in cork and drawing the money out in Dundalk............... just out of curiosity? I don't plan on commiting dole fraud.

Still have to go to Cork once a month  to officially sign the register

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

    No you cant.
That was abolished. You gotta go pick up in the Post office these days.

Where the hell did you get that from? They'll happily drop it in your bank account.

not any more sputnik. there was a lot of eastern european coming over once a month and signing on & then flying home again for 3 1/2 weeks. to stop that, you now have to collect your money every week in the post office.

i presume that picture, is people queuing up to sign on.

Must be pretty recent then because I came off the dole three weeks ago and it had being going straight into my account.

    Scary for you?

I'm unemployed in two weeks time as my contract will be up!

I may be forced to return to CIT for another year

I'm not denying the economy is in big trouble and I know of a number of people who have been let go... but apparently the day that pic was taken there was a leak in the roof of the dole office so everyone had to go outside.

I saw the queue that morning - wish I'd stopped to take a photo myself now!

That sounds likely Dudess, I pass there at that time every day, and didn't see any queue last week. The economy hardly tanked over the course of a single week. I had been thinking maybe a firealarm that had pushed the queue farther back than usual or something.
