No (NCT/DOE) test certificate 5 points on court conviction... but its not active yet..

I'd be more concerned with the small print in your insurance policy about an NCT - nice loophole for your insurer to play hard ball come claim time..

€150 fine seems to be the norm going by the court cases printed in the local paper. Quite a lot of them too for this offence.
