Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

106.5 Riviera Radio is an English-language radio station that broadcasts from Monaco across the French Riviera. It is actually on 106.3 within Monaco, and 106.5 in France.

I was prompted to mention this station haven seen a piece on a board about its 21st celebrations, and I noted that Irishman Paul Kavanagh is CEO. Once upon a time, he was involved with Sunshine Radio and Atlantic 252, and indeed, briefly, Radio Nova.

I had a look at their website and noted that Enda Caldwell does their drivetime slot Monday to Friday and Sunday breakfasts from 8am-12pm. He certainly is putting in a lot of hours with Riviera Radio. Enda has been involved in too many stations to list now, but I just mention Sunset, RLO, Kiss FM Dundalk, Tipp FM, Citybeat Belfast, Atlantic 252, Today FM and Radio Luxembourg as examples.

Does anyone know of any other Irish involvement with 106.5 Riviera Radio, past or present?

Was that the station that Chris Barry was with a long time ago? Come to think of it, I think that station was on 104 fm.

I know people give enda caldwell a lot of grief but you have to give him credit for trying so hard - and it must be nice working in Monaco (better weather than in Trim!). Yes, Chris Barry also worked there - I think he had two seperate stints in the 80s.

A lot of the 80s british guys did their stint over there too (you know the ones that used to always pop up in Cork and Galway or doing relief work on a Dublin superpirate!)

I remember reading a piece about Mark Byrne joining Chris Barry on a station on the Riviera in early 1989. I did not realise it was the same station. Mark Byrne's different stations have been covered recently on this board.
