    Hi there,
just wondering if anyone could advise me on a silicone type sealant to use to seal between the base of a PVC door and a lead threshold. The company who installed the door used a cheap silicone which only lasted 2 months before it started leaking! tks

The best sealant for the job is "lead sealant". You can get it from a builders providers such as Chadwicks or Heiton Buckleys. I have never seen it in the DIY stores. It is intended for roofers to use when installing lead flashings so it is certainly up the job you need it for. Best of luck!
