You already have a quad lnb, you need cable two F connectors and a set top satellite box.

That really depends on what you want, if you want to have the same chan's as you have on your sky box you need to contact sky to install the new box for you and pay the subscription accociated with the service

On the other hand if you want to have a FTA setup in the second room with the BBC's ITV's and C4 film 4 etc you would need a receiver and some cable, although i'm not sure if this affects your service warranty with sky

I am about to do this but install a second Sky+ box to replace a standard box. Is it really that simple as say unplugging one cable from the back of my standard box and running a second cable from the quad lnb and stick them both in the back of the Sky+ box ? I know that I need to contact sky to get them to pair the card and activate the sky+ recorder function.

Does a Sky+ subscription provide you with a quad lnb? I'm not sure it does. i think it provides you with a double lnb. Am I wrong?
