How's that spool up for you? What RPM does it make full boost at. Its a smaller turbo so I'm assuming boost would come on pretty quickly.

I know since I'm running a much larger turbo, it doesn't make full boost to around 4800. But once it does, its so much fun.

Spools just as fast as the standard ct9, full boost at about 3k rpm.

A turbo'd an intercooled Yaris would be sweet. So light it would fly. A T3/T4 hybrid would probably be perfect for that. I'm not up to par on how much boost those engines will take with stride, but I'm sure if you intercooled it and got a dead on tune it would like 8 pounds. Main thing that will break a car that wasn't meant to be turbo'd is detonation. A good rule of thumb is for every PSI, to retard the timing 1 degree to avoid detonation.

so would i man, its in getting finished at the moment will be on a dyno the end of october, getting road mapped next weekend, hoping for about 400bhp at the fly, which ive been told is very achievable with the mods i have :D

Sounds sweet. 400 at the flywheel should be about 350 at the wheels I would think. That car will fly off the line man! What all mods did you do to it other than the upgraded turbo? I assume you would have had to at least upgrade the injectors and stuff?

Oh and what does road mapped mean. I'm not familiar with that term.

I have no comment as to the styling of the Yaris....

I guess everyone has a different taste on the type of cars they drive. I personallly wouldn't sport one, but if that is what he wishes for, so be it.

However, the fact remains that it would be pretty damb quick if he turbo'd it correctly due to being so light.

Sounds really nice Mick, what is the advantage of the Z32 AFM?
