Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Popo's orders. The Mackems and Boro unwashed had a bit of a dust up last time they played.

1457: West Ham, in the absence of a shirt sponsor, are now wearing their numbers on the front and the back. Crazy scenes.

    Madness :D

    Bad bad day for Newcastle.

    3-0

Why don't more teams have someone who can throw a ball like Rory Delap? It's not like it takes super-human strength, just practice and some gym work. And almost every time, it's dangerous. He's set up 3 (that I've seen) goals this season like that. Obviously it doesn't have to be used every time (like Stoke!), but it's a great option to have.

Small ray of hope, St. Michael curls in a beaut to make it 3-1. He's in my fantasy and I hope that fcuks a few clean sheets up.

    Blackburn 1-0 Fulham.

We were by far the better team today. Our defense was much improved, they knew their job today. This Keith Andrews, whose Irish by the way, got the full 90 minutes which confuses me. Ince loves this guy, he was brutal again today and for the second game in a row was lucky not to get his marching orders. We set up in an attacking 4-4-2 formation with Keith Treacy getting his first Premiership start and Gamst being put on the other side of the park. Treacy, who is also Irish, acquitted himself well, he earned this start with a couple of good substitute performances, watch out Stephen Hunt and Aidan McGeady, you will have a challenger shortly for the left side role with Ireland.

We Blackburn fans have all been shouting for the inclusion of Chilean International Carlos Villanueva, who was wonderful in a reserve game and also against Grimsby in the Carling Cup. He got on today for 15 minutes and provided the pass for the goal. He got it just outside the box and put a beautiful pass onto Santa Cruz head who laid it off beautifully for Matt Derbyshire to finish. Carlos showed a lot in the short time he was on the pitch and enough for me to say that we have a new superstar at Blackburn.

If Ince can continue get the side this organised, and this was the first time, then we can look forward to another good season. He has to drop Andrews though, he is not up to the standard.

And Arsenal's Reebok hoodoo continues. Kevin Davies makes it one nil from, surprise surprise, a set piece.

I presume everyone gets facked, as we all seem to have Clichy.

    Yup

    Adebayor hits the post

1-1. Loved Eboue nicking it off Ade, as that would have gifted my rivals some hefty points.

spoke a bit too soon eh? :P

they were bit fortunate today, got a bit of luck with Eboue's goal not been given offside, and they survived some hairy moments in the second half. Vaz Te in particular should have done better when Alumia was caught wandering that time.

it was all about the fringe players today though, the people who everyone said weren't up to Premier league football, Eboue, Denilson, Song and Bendtner all stepped up to the plate today and gave some very good performances. Song in particular i was very impressed with. the more games those boys play the better they seem. still early days though, but things are promising.

the downside to the victory today though was the tackle on Clichy. he's supposed to be off having X-rays in Bolton General Hospital so that doesn't seem good. hopefully it won't be a long lay off, they looked really at odds in defence when he went off. I really though Davies was very fortunate to stay on the pitch as well. fair enough he won the ball with his right, but he followed through with his left, clearly lifting it i thought to do a bit of damage to Clichy. I'm not sure, but i thought he could have been given a red for a two footed challenge, i'll have to watch the replies again on MOTD.

2-1 to Villa against West Brom after 35 minutes. Goals for Carew, Gabby and Morrison (in that order)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,589 ✭✭✭✭Necronomicon

Great game so far. Hopefully it won't die down in the second half like we see so often in games that get off to a flyer.

You wouldn't have thought Young was a fitness doubt, he's been everywhere.

Yeah I do. He smashed one into the net against West Brom but it was disallowed as it was indirect and Robbie Fowler never touched it to him. Absolute screamer.

    3-0 Robinho.

That was some last man tackle by Ireland earlier. Wouldn't mind seeing him back in a green shirt.
