Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Thinking of taking a bit of a world trip next year, was wondering if anyone had any advice on where / when to get the jabs? Think I'll be hitting Prague and heading east via Turkey, Armenia, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Thailand etc, probably some of china too before going down to Oz/NZ via Phillipines and across to South America then north all the way to Alaska, then I'll probably knock home!

I'll want to visit the off the beaten track places not just the tourist holes also.

    Any help / advice appreciated!

The usual ones recommended are Diphtheria, Polio, Tetanus, Typhoid and Hep A. A lot of people probably go for Hep B as well, but it more depends on what you're planning on getting up to I'd say. You'd need some regime of Malaria tablets too in places I'd say.
I don't tihnk you need Yellow Fever - but I would n't swear to it. If you look up www.tmb.ie and put in the countries your'e going to you should get an idea of what you need. (It's probably cheaper to actually go to a GP for the actual vaccines then though.)

Also get quoted off your GP too, they may be a bit cheaper than tmb.there is a thread on here about vsccinations already do have a quick search.I have been advised to get yellow fever, and rabies too even though I didn't feel i needed too,so thats an option for you. Budget for malaria tabs too as another poster said
