Internet Radio in Windows Media Player

Well it took me a while to find the internet radio tuner on Windows Media Player but I finally have it!

It doesn't seem the most convenient in the world especially when you compare it to the radio tuner on itunes but I don't want to use two different media players, just hate using too many programs for one task that can be done by one.

While it isn't the easiest radio tuner to deal with as it ain't as clear as itunes, it does the trick.

However there is one problem - some stations play within WMP but others will only play in an internet browser. You click on it in WMP and up pops Firefox or IE to play the station in. I find that annoying and just want the stations to play in WMP because after all, itunes does it that way and it's handier.

    Any solutions out there guys?

One of the best & well maintained sites for radio is HERE. When you open it & choose the location & radio station you can do one of two things.

    1. Click on the appropriate station to play it.

    2. Right click on the little Media player 32kbps icon & "save target as"

The second option will create a shortcut for you, so to play that station in future you just double click the shortcut icon & it automatically opens Media player to play the station.
