    ... I'm feeling f-a-at.

    Seriously though.

Assume I know nothing and that I've been born yesterday.
Assume I am too cheap to buy books and use the internet as my main means on collecting information & reading.
Assume that I am confused and startled at the amount of diet books, fads, ads etc. out there

Assume I have accepted the fact that the only was to lose weight is exercise more and eat less &/ eat right.

Where do I start? I have no idea. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

There'll be more specific stuff posted here later I'm sure, but a simple rule of thumb when you're buying food is to only buy it if you can see it, i.e., it's not in a box or a colorful bag. Obviously there are exceptions, but ya want go too far wrong with that. Eat fresh fruit and veg, with less fruit and more veg later in the day. Only buy fresh meat and fish, no processed crap. Eat 4-6 times a day.

*EDIT* Getting a little exercise in wouldn't be a bad thing either :)
