Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi all, bit of a problem and hoping someone can help me out here.

I ssh and remote desktop to my machine at home! The issue I have is after a reboot of the server I loose remote desktop to the machine due to the fact that VINO server (default remote desktop app) doesnt start until a user logs in.

Now I do have the option of "Auto Login" but I would prefer no to go down this road as it is less secure. Is there anyway that I can turn on and off VINO via ssh or is there a way I can at least go to the box and a once off option I can change that the VINO Server will start once the machine starts.

Any help would be appreciated as its driving me up the wall, seeing as home is about 150Km away from where I spend most of my time.

Did a bit of googling and a lot of people seem to have a similar problem. You could try NX instead - http://www.nomachine.com/ - I use it to remote desktop and it starts at boot time.
