Ok so far. I'm a bit dissapointed about the lack characters from the boys and girls.

I agree. In the UK version I fell in love(ish) with Raef from the first moment I heard him speak!. So far from this year no-one stands out and alot of the wimmins look like yellow-headed, orange-skinned clones.

its almost mimicking BBC at this point, wouldn't be surprised if over half was scripted

He's like something off Father Ted

    Lol Fr. Damo!

I thought the same initially but Alan Sugar doesn't speak good English either and he has said some great cheeky one-liners that were not too attractive, so I think that Bill is talking as he would usualy does.

Oh no doubt he does speak like that normally, but it doesn't make it any less annoying. And I can't see him having any great one-liners. Hope I'll be proven wrong.

    pros so far
    - production is pretty good - overall - sticking v.close to bbc format which obviously works
    - bill's missus looks like a real battle axe - perfect tv

    cons
    - bloody ads!
    - voiceover guy - i notice he does some of the feckin ads during the ad breaks

    bring on the firing!

Cullen is just as much a rottweiler, if not more of one than Sugar. I certainly wouldn't want to face him. He's fairly relentless. Sugar shouts but Cullen is cut from the same cloth as Sugar - he can put words in people's mouths.

I'm really liking this. The main difference is that the contestants aren't utter gobsh1tes like in the BBC version. They seem to have a bit of cop-on.

The only downside is it sounds like Bill is reading from an autocue. He probably isn't but it comes across that way.

I can't see him firing Mark...I think that he likes Mark.
I think that David will be fired...that is my prediction!

I'd say the opposite, certainly the Irish lads anyway.

I think the quality of contestant in earlier series of the BBC version was higher but this season I felt they were picked just because they would whinge and moan. They tried to sell fish on the BBC version and were absolutely dire.

Anyway, we'll have some fun watching this shower. Certainly their biogs read very <ahem> well. :D

Tuned in tonight out of curiousity - doubt I'll bother tuning in again - it was kinda bland overall I thought and the amount of ads really stopped any atmosphere being built up - big difference from the Beeb there.

The "Brilliant" Fiona Looney is giving her analysis in the Daily "Irish" Mail tomorrow.

    Can't miss that. ;)

Yeah the group leader really was at fault as he stopped them selling early. That's what cost them the task not the David guy being quiet.

That said he seemed happy enough to be out of it.
