I will being going driven pheasant shooting in December in Scotland and want to bring my shotgun accross. I will book an Aerlingus flight as I know they allow firearms as checked luggage.

However I'm not sure of what documentation/ permit I will need....anyone here gone through the process????????????

You'll need a visitors permit from the local police force wherever you're going and a European Firearms Pass. The visitors permit is usually applied for by a sponsor from your destination. The organisers of the shoot should do this for you.
