Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Upgrade Home Premium to Ultimate

    Hey folks

    Got a new machine with Home Premium but the language is in Norwegian. Even with a system reset to factory defaults I cannot set it to English. To install the MUI packs I need the Ultimate or Enterprise SKUs.

    So, I have a copy here of Windows Ultimate from work. I want to buy a new Ultimate key. Can I do that through the Windows Anytime upgrade.

    In other words can I buy a CD key online, use my Ultimate DVD from work, input my new key and do an inplace upgrade to Ultimate?

    did you get a vista dvd with the new pc? language is set durring setup, so unless the dvd is a specific norwegan one then it may allow you to choose english durring setup. Might be worth a shot reinstalling vista to see, i think but am not 100% or even 90% on this that you might be able to get far enough through the set up steps to see if you can choose english with out having to commit to the re-install if english is not an option. I'm sure some one will verifiy this , i just dont have a vista disc handy to check myself.

    No disk came with it

    Its a EISA job with the Acer system restore. It looks like a very custom install, you just choose your keyboard, lanaguage etc which I chose as American English when I first set it up click Next but the EULA is the norwegian one so it doesnt seem to want to change language, maybe the additional MUI packs werent installed for the image.
