Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I lived in Cambridge for a while and supported Cambridge FC while I was there, going to the Abbey every other week. They were in the old Division 3. They have since been relegated to the conference and are not faring well.

Interesting fact tho - when every english league team was asked who they considered to be their main rivals only cambridge and peterborough said each other...

Obviously not a suggestion because they could meet our beloved prem teams in the FA cup and what not but thought i'd put that out there.

I nominate the El-Kanemi Warriors from the Nigerian Division 1.

Recently relegated, so we can cheer them on during their chase for promotion again.

Jaysis Neil, even the top brass are coming out of the woodwork for this one.

It's decided anyway, no need for a poll.

DeV says it's the Eagles, the Eagles it is.

I think there's gonna have to be a poll. Just to keep it all above board.

My proposal is Go Ahead Eagles from the Dutch Eerste Divisie

    - The fact that a few hundred (or more) fans in a different country have decided to start supporting the team will really be a novelty for the club

I think no matter who we pick, this is gonna be the coolest thing about it all! We should get the boards brigade over for a game and make as much noise as we can manage!

Genuinely think stuff like this is all thats wrong with football support. This isn't a support your local club rant or anything like that but the idea of just adopting a team for novelty purposes is a bit mad. I always thought supporting a club was about way more than that. Sorry if I seem like a buzzkill, but I get the same when I hear someone referring to as 'following a clubs results'. I mean whats the point?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,372 ✭✭✭✭Mr Alan

i would "kind of" agree with DSB, which is why i think Boardeaux would be the best option

although i can kind of see why it'd be fun for some, wouldnt really be my bag i dont think:(

    Albinoleffe_logo.png

    AlbinoLeffe, the season so far...

    Modena 0 AlbinoLeffe 2 (30/08/08)

AlbinoLeffe vs Parma pre-match (07/09/08) - shouldn't be a problem getting tickets there :D The Seriani beat Parma 1-0, btw.

    AlbinoLeffe 0 Empoli 0 (13/09/08)

    AlbinoLeffe 2 Avellino 1 (20/09/08)

Sassuolo 1 AlbinoLeffe 0 (23/09/08) - first defeat of the season last night, now second in the league but level on points with Sassuolo.
