solution in 07 has a lot of answers that are in the 05 solution so compare them and you'll see some of the questions looking at the 05 paper. If that makes sense:confused:

Yes, this is true, Richard Lawlor nearly always give the same test year in year out.

don't rely on that though, although it looks like he will give the same paper as previous years the one time you rely on that it will changed and you'll be royally screwed.

that goes for any exam not just problem solving.

not really, as its not just learning for last years paper, the stuff he asks you every year are really the only stuff you need to know. he goes over this stuff alot for problem solving so you should have an idea what type of questions will be asked.

ahh now i wasn't saying the papers were of no help. it just seems to me people think they've cracked a system that he sticks to and are telling people just to learn the answers of for a specific exam.

that might well happen, might get the person the pass, but when it comes to working they will be royally screwed as there's no such thing as a past paper in work lol :D

the module boards don't start until the 26th in DIT, i don't know which day will be for the school of computing but don't expect your results before then and even at that i wouldn't except them until the Thursday/Friday of that week as the school of Computing is usually last to site their module boards meetings for some odd reason.

Anyone know if our summer exams start on the 18th will be over as quick as the xmas ones or will they be more split up???

  • Registered Users Posts: 26,579 ✭✭✭✭Creamy Goodness

the timetable won't be set yet.

normally - well this is what i found from being in first year - they crammed all our exams into the one week. we had 6 exams (there were no winter exams for me in first year).

So, any word on a timetable yet?!?
