Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all

I am planning a Low pitch roof extension (8degrees), velux only works at 15deg or above and wouldn't like to be building upstands..

looking at dome lights from rooflights.ie so was just wondering if anyone had any other recommendations.

What are you using to cover the roof? 8 degrees is very shallow.

Aye tis shallow alright smashey, I suppose we could go for a flat roof alltogether but prefer the look of an A shape.

Gonna go for a pvc trocal .

Have a look at Velux FRS (Flat Roof System) rooflights - hard enough to find on their website but they are there - look good too.

Have a look at these: http://www.glazing-vision.co.uk/fxd_index.html

I have used these before - they have an Irish agent - you wouldn't want to be on a tight budget!

    I see your point
    £884.54 for 1m x 1m !!!

Although they have those 'billy jean' pressure-sensitve walk on glass light things if anyone every feels the urge...
    shamone mf...

looks like rooflights.ie are the only ones without upstands then

    (no affiliation with company etc..)

    Hi all ,

Rooflights came back with a quote and twas a bit more than I expected. About €1200 for a 1500x1500 (daylight size 1300x1300)
Docarch I've pm'd you for that irish contact.

I found an Irish website thru their uk website if that's the one you're talkin about.
    domesandrooflightservices.com

I reckon they don't realise how badly they advertise online as i tried googling for irish companies for ages to no avail..anyway can't complain cos at least there is an alternative...

Ill post when the quote comes in
