Problem with Buffalo Linkstation NAS

    HI,

    I have a Buffalo Linkstation Live NAS and it has stopped working (ish)
    The bundled software can detect it when connected directly to the PC and has an ip address but cannot access the shares.
    When I connect via //ipaddress I can view the folders but cannot access the one with all my info on it, I can browse a default folder fine.

    Does anyone know how I might get access to the info on the Share folder?
    The linkstation software is reporting the space used as correct.
    Maybe a disk checker utility or the like?...

    Have been on to Buffalo tech support who advised to re-flash the firmware. which I did but still no joy
