Boards Pilots, or not...

Hello all!

This is just to get an up-to-date idea of who exactly uses Boards A&A. I know there is a similar thread but its somewhat out of date and lacked a poll, so, what is your CURRENT STATUS.

PPL is for either pilot of fixed wing or helicopters,
PPL Student is a student pilot with hours logged studying for PPL,
Enthusiast is just that, an enthusiast,
ATPL Student is a student with PPL, working towards ATPL,
Engineers of any kind that work on aircraft,
Airline Pilots, current.
Instructor, is a current instructor.
Dreamer, someone who has always longed or had a liking of becoming a pilot but never really went about doing it,
Blow in, someone who visits here the odd time an aviation story crops up in the news.
Other, please state!!

Hi all,

ATPL Student, Flight Training Europe Jerez.

Started the course in May this year, should graduate in July.

Phase 1 JAA exams completed in Sept, Phase 2's in Feb. So far can't speak highly enough of the place. lovin' every minute

Just finishing up my PPL training, solo qualifier in the bag today, signoff on Friday and hopefully take the test in the next 2 weeks or so.

Have been around planes since I was a very young fella, clocked up a few hundred hours of " stick time " through that.

Been interested in flying / aeroplanes since I was a young lad.

Did/got PPL at one stage which has now lapsed ( a long time ago ) due to money/time.

Now travel quite a bit , so I love watching aeroplanes still

PPL(A), soloed earlier this year, currently doing navigation exercises. 30 odd hours. Slow going though currently between weather, aircraft going tech and newborn baby. Learning in Kilkenny.

Just received my SPPL licence on Monday so hope to go for first Solo as soon as I figure out who to bribe

Ground school starting the 14th of Oct , hoping to Graduate on the 1st of Feb, but would trade it all tomorrow for a Boeing

Another ATPL student down in Jerez.

Only started the flying phase recently but loving it. Soloed for the first time a few weeks back.

Hoping all this "recession" talk dies down about June of next year.......when I graduate. :rolleyes:

I imagine it's not hard to guess, two paddies in the same place. The internet cafe(s) there are not that big anyway.

As for talk of recession. It think it's a pretty much full blown depression at this stage. By the time you graduate there will be a long queue ahead of you, sadly.

We just have to ride it out.
