Any (pork) butcher worth their salt will be able to get/keep you a few if they don't have them available on the day.

I have bought these in the butcher's on Henry St. (beside the Bierhaus).

PJ retired and closed the shop a few months ago. It's harder and harder to find a decent butcher these days and if you buy meat in a supermarket, you deserve to be made vegetarian.

Might not be handy for you, but Feeney the butcher in Spiddal always has some on the display shelf. Possibly €2 each, but not 100% sure of that.

Pig trotters!! I know this might be a stupid question but:

what would you eat with them?
    how would you cook them?

Actually wouldn't mind trying them as everything else out of a pig is tasty!!

They had pigs trotters (= crubeens) as a special on the menu at the Old Schoolhouse restaurant in Clarinbridge not too long ago.

I didn't try it but someone else at the table did.

I'm sorry I can't remember much about how it was done, but this might help:

Lots of pigs hanging around Shop St/Eyre Square most nights, especially Thurs-Sat in the early hours of the morning. I'm sure they all have feet. I'd certainly be happy if they couldn't get around so easily, and I suspect that council workers who have to clean up after them would be, too.

    :D (sorry ... I couldn't resist)

One of Galway's first ever take-aways back in the mid-seventies used to specialise in Crubeens.
Think it was called Paddy Crubeens. Not a joke.

I'm nearly sure they still sell them in the butchers on Market Street across form St Nicolas church.

Can't offer any proper advise, but try Feerick's on Newcastle Road. (Opposite AIB Bank, just down from G&L). Pretty traditional butchers, may be able to help you out (They sell a quality fillet steak and not too expensive when buying it by the KG :p)

I was just in Herterich's on Market Street (Pork Butchers), and they definitely sell Crubeens.

For those who want something simple to prepare, they also do Kesseller (put boiling water in the bottom of a baking tray, suspend the kesseler above it, and cover the tray with tinfoil. Cook at about 190 degrees. Leave for about 40 minutes). Delicious!
