How old is too old?

were looking into buying a double horse box or maybe a two horse lorry, either way as the title asks how old does a trailer/lorry have to be to be classed too old? for example would it be stupid to buy a 20 year old horse lorry or a 10 year old box? does the age really matter? would love to hear comments. Depends on the overall condition its in and how road worthy it is. My dad's cattle truck is 1990 reg, and its in perfect condition - mind you it was well looked after while he drove it, he didnt abuse it and never drove fast etc.. it's still on the road with its new owner and its working away grand.
