the OS will be amazing.........according to htc its the pc killer..........not the "iphone killer" like everyone calls these new PDA/smartphones....

Android is a software platform. HTC used that platform to build a device for T-Mobile, not for Google.

It's ugly as sin tbh. Ill wait till HTC kick out a Touch Diamond or similar before i give it a lash. The OS is nice but it still has a way to go. It will be a windows mobile killer if anything!

yeah, but HTC are a leading wm device manufacturer! You think they'll call android a wm-killer, while building, among others, sony ericsson's first wm-phone?

The G1 does look terrible and there's some incredibly stupid mistakes regarding the design; but there's so much potential in the platform, much more than the iPhone. If Jobs were smart he'd re-evaluate the direction he has taken iPhone and take a page out of Google's book.
