Dunno if this subject has been done yet but I dont watch telly at all but i do tend to watch TV shows on DVD if Im up late. Share the noctunally flavoured stuff that you stare at in the wee hours:

    for me recently:

the American Gothic boxset- worth it for Gary Cole's gleefully nasty performance alone. Which reminds me that Midnight Caller never came out on DVD it seems. I barely remember it though but I'd love to see it again.

Ultraviolet:- Sort lived British series from the 90s about modern vampire hunters and not a fang in sight, well worth a look except for the sap in the lead role.

Darkside: what can ye say? loltastic

Children of the stones:- teenagers series from the 70s, imagine the wicker man in a tardis, or the famous five meet HP lovecraft. They sure as hell dont make kids telly like this now.

Ulysses 31: scored the box set in a sale of work for f***k all, classic stuff

i tend to fall asleep to watching programmes.

so i tend to keep the serious kind of shows to a minimum, so comedies, cartoons are in demand.

futurama/south park/family guy/simpsons/QI/black books/spaced is what i have been watching over the last few weeks.

Mmm, terrific little series that was. Really took vampires into the modern day in a style that hasn't been done before.

Mostly watch girly not-quite-shoite at night time... Gilmore Girls, Gossip Girl, some film that's just funny enough to keep me from killing myself at the girlness of it all.
The night I watch The Notebook is the night I end it.

Me neither. My laptop is my friend. That way, if I get overwhelmed by whatever I'm watching, the internet can mock me to my senses :)

Currently spending my time making my way through the complete Farscape collection on dvd. After that it'll be time to resume my viewing of the Xfiles collection.

If you can read this, you're too close!

    Since Halloween is on the horizon, I'll share with you all some of the late night viewing that I'll be doing;

    Salom's Lot
    Halloween
    The Wicker Man
    Bram Stoker's Dracula
    Interview with the Vampire
    Nightmare on Elm Street
    IT
    Scream
    Frankenstein
    Evil Dead 2
    Texas Chainsaw Massacre
T1 & T2 (not truely horror but halloween gives both films a great atmosphere)
    The Monster Squad

There's plenty more, I just can't think of them right now!

I'm about to watch the new Indiana Jones. I'm half looking forward to it, I don't listen to hype or condemnation. I doubt it'll be as bad as some have made it out to be.

Well I only get home at about 11:00 each evening so first it's a quick hello to sky news and then my night begins with a film and some food.

    Recent flicks would be
    # Balls of fury
    # Postal
    # DeadSpace Downfall
    # Star Wars The Clone Wars
    # Deathrace 2000

It doesn't seem so unusual at night.

Yep or even better a girlfriend with a healthy addiction to porn. Thinking of someone special now and a couple of bottles of wine.

I don't know if half 6 in the am counts as late night but Teletubies are on BBC2

I am into Zombies lately and have watched Dawn of the dead, Diary of the dead, Land of the dead and Zombie, wicked little things over the last week. A recent thread here a has gotten me interested in watching a few vamp movies!

I've been watching Arrested Development lately. And on the tv, Takeshis castle is on virgin at 5am most nights. Keeps me ridiculously entertained.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,255 ✭✭✭anonymous_joe

I find that such a horribly degrading programme.

Thats what makes it great! The things they'll do... Mad for chuckles.

Totally fed up with the lack of decent tv at this hour.

Channel 6 are showing feckin music - they could be showing reruns of Frasier which would keep me happy.

E4 are showing reruns of some sort of Hollycroaks crap - they could be showing reruns of Frasier which would keep me happy.

Paramount are showing what else ? Scrubs!! - they could be showing reruns of Frasier which would keep me happy.

Discover are showing how to kill your husband/wife or somethng to that effect

sky news are peddling their usual extremist right wing propaganda which doesn't seem to stop even during the night.

Living have some court room comedy/drama thing. Looks crap. Guy from Stargate is in it and he's fat.

TV3 are showing their bloody Ireland AM replay!!! and it's back on it a few feckin hours

Sky1 are showing moronic English twats drinking and kissing in Ibiza or something other "resort"

BBC turns into some kind of wierd psuedo infomercial station at this hour. yet they're not selling anything . they also have little people on the edge of the screen making faces and doing hand gestures.

ITV/UTV have just lost the plot all together. They also have little people with their faces and hand movements.

RTE1 have a b&w film, not in the mood
RTE2 have what looks like some sort of teen comedy/drama thing about some psuedo ugly chick with glasses and fake braces.

I've not got the foggiest notion what's on Ch4, doesn't look too bad. That's staying on.

Only 3hours till Tellytubbies are back on.

    I can't quite tell what's on Ch4, looks wierd
