The new bg image is very ghey I think, I like the changes to the layout though.

Edit: it looks like the twitter.com bg now that I think of it, I knew I recognised that smell of ghey from somewhere before...

I, for one, still think that this latest chop/change is just a bit crap really.
No offense to all who worked hard to get it done and all that.
But the point remains. Its worse than the last one. IMO anyway.

dont like this at all, background is childish, ads are overly large and annoying, last poster needs to come back,
how about a poll or an option for users to remain using the old layout as opposed to new crappy one..

There is a lot more info on one page for kicking off to the sections with is good but
as all the of the boxes are the same it gets distracting and at first is a little confusing.

Any change the headers on the boxes could be coloured coded differently ?
Green for wiki, yellow for podcasts ect but all with in the same pastel palette ?

Just noticed the new graphic at the very bottom right (boardsmen?), I like that much better than the new changes up top. The shade of blue down there is much nicer than the baby blue shade at the top too.

Agree that the clouds look a bit girly .. don't like them at all. Tried AdBlock'ing it, but unfortunately the background colour for the drop down menu bar has been changed to match the pretty clouds and then sticks out like a sore thumb.

I also miss the poster from the list of new posts .. it often determines whether I bother even looking at the latest post on that thread at all. You could easily make more real estate on the front page by getting rid of (or making optional) the (increasing amount) of other clutter that's there that I ignore such as all that wiki, podcast, tweet and events stuff.

If it aint broke don't fix it, I say.

any thought of making the new posts box a flash object? then you wouldnt have to reload the page to filter results.

The google ad inside the cloud picture should have a blue background so it blends in.
