10 WORST films of all time

Anything Eddie Murphy has actually appeared in the recent decade. The guy has himself stuck in crappy family movies. Complete polar opposite to the, "stop looking at my ass you f@ggot" days of Raw and Delirious.

Pineapple Express. Only laughed maybe 3 or 4 times the entire movie. Have had people walking out of the movie near the end commenting that it was the worst movie they have ever seen. Seth Rogen is now getting in people's faces way too much and his co's movies are going downhill steadily.

Giggili - I laughed. I was confused. That is all.

Agreed I don't understand the negative reaction this movie gets. I thought it deserved a sequel but they decided to go with an elektra spin off which sucked. (When a character can't carry their own series a movie will not work.)

The movie is awful. The Bullseye caharcter is ludicrous. All comic book based films are rubbish.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,268 ✭✭✭mountainyman

Requiem for a Dream - sorry way too depressing-and it score 8.5 on imdb

Cats and Dogs - an ex, yes an ex - wanted to go see this one, Jesus wept

You are right about requiem for a dream but cats and dogs RULES

Bit harsh saying ALL comic book films are crap.
Batman Begins and the Dark Knight have broken the trend of crap comic book movies. There for want of a better word, more based in "reality" than the likes of the Hulk & Spiderman.
I think Daredevil gets too many bad reviews. It wasn't a great movie, but by all means it wasn't one of the worst films of all time. Bullseye was actually a good character, and the Fareller did all right.
At least it let the yanks know he was Irish! :D

Requiem is damn near a masterpiece.

Anyone see Irish movie Summer of the Flying Saucer in the cinemas a few months back?
Like something made by a bunch of transition-years pupils after completing a weekend-filmmaking course.

    Jaws: The Revenge (1987)
    Batman & Robin (1997)

Why are people picking movies such as the matrix revolutions and superman returns as the worst ever movies. These are all **** but watchable. Shouldn't this thread be dominated by B/Z movies. Heres a couple which are so bad you'll have to turn off after 1.345233456 seconds.

Rawhead Rex *An irish film http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091829/
    The story of Riki http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0102293/

Perhaps the worst. This film is about a convict who transforms into a pooh monster and comes up through toilets killing people.
    Monsturd: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0364527/

Have you actually watched them films because even the name Monsturd sounds crap.My most hated film would be Titanic and any of them step up movies, the ones where they mix ballet and hip hop.Why oh why i think i will go and gouge out my eyes.

    Closer

It is, without a single doubt in my mind, the biggest piece of crap I've ever seen. I actually lost my temper watching it!

Syriana: Never underestimate your audience, the old adage advises. However, in this case, too much was left to the audience to put together, rendering this political thriller a real headache for the audience. Left to fill in gaps from poor plotting, direction and editing, there was little time to enjoy what was actually on the screen!

 I loved Syriana. Enjoyed having to think a bit rather than having every little thing spelled out for you like so many other movies.

Too intellectual for ya was it?! :p

    Titanic.

Syriana was a class movie. I dont know what the poster found left untold, to be honest. Its all explained very clearly and not beyond belief either.

    Bringing out the Dead.
I so looked forward to this when I heard Scorsese and Cage were involved. It is one of the few movies that I've seen that I thought "I can't believe I paid to see that sh1t".

Has Cage ever been in anything of note? - I was wracking my brain about this last night after watch 1 1/2 of 2 back to back movies with him. First up was Wickerman (the remake) then Ghostrider. Its just as well i was in a mood for watching crap.

    Leaving Las Vegas
    Wild at Heart
    Raising Arizona
    Con Air
    Face Off

Last 2 are pure cheese but very enjoyable in you switch your brain off.

You, me and dupree was pretty bad, have to say.

I cant stand Jackie Brown, I think its the most overrated film in history. So frickin boring, Pam Grier walking around mumbling, looking confused in every scene.

300 and Cloverfield feature heavily in my lawsuit against UCI for wasted hours of my life.

The Mummy 3 was absolutly terrible.

I have never wanted a film to finish more than that one.

Meet the spartans was awful, lasted about 20 minutes before I had had to turn it off.

Super mario brothers movie was possibly the worst film I've ever seen. What was Bob Hoskins thinking?

He was in a Wickerman in The Wickerman, which coincidentally is a sort of Cage. Come to think of it the star of the original movie was Edward Woodward and the Wickerman is made of wood! There's something going on here! Gabriel Byrne for a sequel perhaps?

I really thought Bringing out the dead was a kickass film. Strange, compelling, has interesting scenes and lighting, strange character interaction... I dunno.
    I liked it.

The Usual Suspects? Saving Private Ryan? The Departed?

How can any of these be classed as the worst film of all time?
Not to ones liking maybe. Overrated perhaps. But worst film of all time is ridiculous.

    '300' was just as bad.

The original "Assault on Precinct 13" was absolutely abysmal, I've not seen the remake but it can't be any worse. I watched the whole film solely because it was so bad, it was laughable.

Tell me your joking please or else you must be about 15 years old.
Assault on Precinct 13 is an absolute classic, tense, gritty and shocking
backed by a superb Carpenter score. The film does look rather dated now
but its over 30 years old and at the time was made on a shoe string budget.
But it still never fails to entertain and keeps the tenison going right till the end.
Its everything you would want from a John Carpenter film and is right
up there with The Thing and Halloween ..

    My all time worst that I've had the painful experience of sitting through;

    Battlefield Earth

    Alone In The Dark

    Batman and Robin

    Highlander II

I never had the privilege of watching Swept Away but I reckon Gigli is right up there alongside it battling for a worst of all time spot.

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 35,946 Mod ✭✭✭✭dr.bollocko

Gigli has one scene I recall where Al Pacino went absolutely bat**** crazy. But even that couldnt make it watchable.

Not quite a masterpiece, but a very good film!

What? Children Of Men is BRILLIANT!!!! Sci-Fi masterpiece in my view, some of the best directing/editing i've ever seen!

The 13th Warrior - is really really pants
House Of The Dead - is a terrible film
Alone In The Dark - is a shockingly bad piece of cinema
Meet The Spartans - words fail me!

I'm sure there are many more, I try to blank crappy films from my memory!

Ya really cant look past that, terrible, terrible film.

    In no particular order:

    1. The Oxford Murders - total waste of John Hurts talent.
    2. Cloverfield - overhyped, underwhelming rubbish.
    3. Star Wars IV - enough said.
    4. Boat Trip - Cuba Goodings lowest point.
    5. The Da Vinci Code - too much rubbish to fit into one film.
    6. Eat The Peach - need I say more.
    7. Leprachaun - only good thing about it was a young Jennifer Aniston.
    8. Far And Away - nice accent :P
    9. Psycho - the remake with Anne Heche.
    10. Snakes On A Plane - Jackson has really lost it.

I have to say the majority of that film is pretty poor but some of the odd funny scenes nearly make it very watchable, The scene with Matt Damon and ben affleck filming the seqel to good will hunting being one of the highlights.

I have to say Ill kitten has an inspired choice there with coach Carter, Simply awful movie.
