Great sat images on your web site. Darkness can be seen creeping in as the model runs.

3.1c here and calm - feeling chilly out. First air frost tonight anyone?!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,498 ✭✭✭Mothman

3C, coldest of the season, can't see an air frost happening tonight. might dip below 2C here with grass min possibly down to -4C .

4.0c here now, not the coldest experienced this season, but certainly the earliest such a cool temp has been reached. I hope that warm front stays away for another 12hrs to allow my first and final air frost for October 08 before the usua lmild, breezy and drizzley conditions set in for the rest of the month.

    But I doubt it will.

1.3°C here with a decent ground frost. Much of the drive home was sub zero according to the car thermometer which was showing 1.5°C here so reasonable to assume there is indeed an air frost in populated areas of Wicklow tonight.
    Incredibly clear starry sky also.

Some fairly heavy drizzle here for the past hour now.

Got pee'd on cycling home today, for once it was wetter in Bray than here where the roads are barely wet. Lidl rain gear held up well but the feckin car steamed up something else on the way home.

    Bah humbug and all that.

    Oh yeah, current temp 13.6°C

    Vile.
Heavy rain last night (peaking at 56mm/hr + at 530 am or so) and lashing rain on and off throughout the day with some heavy rain roundabout the same time as Danno.

    Total since midnight 17.5mm.

If you include from 6 pm yesterday, the total is just shy of an inch in 24hours.
