    I use a Nokia 6230i on Vodafone - Have an isp plan - the 1GB / mth

Managed to download and instal the gmail app

Try to login and get this message
"Sorry, Gmail for mobile will not work on yoyr phone. Your phone doesn't have the appropriate certificate to communicate with the server. Try accessing Gmail for mobile on your mobile browser at http://mail.google.com"
So I return to my browser and get Security Info

    Issuer Unknown

    Server Certificate Details:

    Owner: Google Inc

    Basically I can't get through.

Try typing http://m.gmail.com into your phone browser to give you mobile version

Also have you enabled only HTTPS in your Gmail on your main browser.. I found this when I tried using the GMail App on my N95

I've researched and found my phone needs the Verisign Class 3 public certificate with serial number 70:BA:E4:1D:10:D9:29:34:B6:38:CA:7B:03:CC:BA:BF.

I've tried pointing the wap browser to download this but it doesn't work

I've tried downloading the cert onto pc and transferring to phone but it doesn't work

I read various other forums and am directed to Verisign website. Haven't a clue where to start there.

Anyone else had a similar issues with Nokia s40 and got it sorted??

BTW, I get certificate error logging onto http://m.gmail.com.etc so that's not a good alternative.

PS Opera Mini, Cabbage, etc works great. I use Vodafone ISP access point
