Course you can, Garmin have a huge range of models. Maps may be out of date etc.

Can you find out what model it is and what maps are on it?

If maps are out of date you can enter your purchase details and serial number on the garmin website and get a free map update CD sent to your house. Well at least you could circa 8 months ago, when i got mine which I still haven't got around to using! For €48 you cant go wrong assuming the map updates are still available free of charge.

Anyone know if the Nenagh Tesco is 24hr?

I'm heading home tomorrow evening, might head that way.

Looks like a lot of these Tesco offers are 1 or 2 stores only.
Is that because they don't have a lot in stock or just to annoy the Dubs?

Hopefully just to annoy the Dubs. It's practically a sport outside the Pale. :pac::pac:

At least if you buy one of these you'll be able to find the Pale and hopefully spend all your money up here. :D

I've got a feeling that someone in Tesco Nenagh is gonna get fired for pricing the Sat Nav's incorrectly :pac:

Maybe, maybe not - Tesco Galway had tomtom one for 80 last week, seems like they were doing some sort of an offer..

    Will check galway this afternoon

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 963 ✭✭✭chavezychavez

OP, can you call/text your friend and see if if this is a nationwide offer.

Considering they works there, they should be able to provide a response, and help fellow Boardsies avoid needless trips to Tescos all over the country.

If I were at all sceptical, it would almost look like that there are a few posts going up recently that for some reason have people making unnecessary trips to areas of business, which may or may not result in them actually buying something other than that which they went in to buy even if it was or was not there to begin with.

But then again, I'm not sceptical, so I don't even believe the above statement.:D

    None in Tesco in Rathfarnham

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 470 ✭✭PIMPHO

None in all Tescos except for Nenagh which are all sold out now!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,734 ✭✭✭zarquon

Nothing in Galway either. These satnavs were obviously only available in Nenagh and as they are sold out this thread is dead and should be closed.

  • Registered Users Posts: 110 ✭✭tintar

Nothing in Jervis as well, asked the manager who said there was no such deal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,529 ✭✭✭patch

None for 48 in galway, but they have a tomtom one and a typhoon for bout 90 each. Not sure how cheap that is but still seems quite cheap.
That was bout 11 this morning, they were on a shelf behind the counter.

I wonder if Pebbles21 got one at that price? Somehow I doubt it.

"If it sounds too good to be..." etc.

Got me going for a few minutes though, even though I have said recently I would never get one, but at that price you could pass it up really. One day they'll be that cheap, not sure if I'll still be driving though. :)
