Skinned Deep. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry!! Warwick Davis plays a character called "plates" who....well, throws plates at people..

    Starship Troopers. Genius :D

Was just about to mention that

Bloody great movie but oh so terrible.

Saw it in the Cinema on its premier and it was one of the best times that I have had at the movies ever.

Received it on BluRay last week and Saturday night was put aside for popcorn, chocolate and beverage fuelled Trooper-fest

HAHAHA I was trying to block that part out:rolleyes: actually I should really try blocking out all of it. Especially the muscley thing at the end with no head. And "Brain" WTF :D
Still, very funny in an anger inducing kind of way

Death Race 2000 is a cracking low budget drive-in movie with a subversive heart - Death Race (2008) is professional junk but not a best bad film contender either.

Plan 9 from Outer Space obviously is, the film reeks of shoddy ineptitude on every concievable level. Such movies are actually quite rare - there is usually a pretence of ability, however thin.

Citing Blazing Saddles or Commando, Starship Troopers etc suggests a clear misunderstanding of what a best bad film should be.

    Mike

    RIGHT:rolleyes:

There is no rules set down on what is or isnt a best bad film. Its a persons opinion on what they class as a best bad film.
In my opinion its when on paper the film should never have worked but for some reason it just did.
You can take what ever it means to you and thats fine but please dont be telling others that they misunderstand this topic.

So in my eyes Starship Troopers.

Fascist future populated only with the beautiful people, attacked from space by bugs shooting plasma from their arses. Cast using the cast of Melrose Place or something, giving Denise Richards a lead role. Hunting a "Brain Bug", all the while having a love triangle in the space military.

I am sorry but that is a receipe for a flop of a "B" movie but the bloody thing works

I think what mike is trying to say that Best bad films should be taken as "SO BAD ITS GOOD" not like what you've said budd.

I agree with Mike that the likes of starship troopers should not be under the list of "Bad Film". However, I also agree on paper it should never of worked but to this day its prob in my top 20 films.

I know what he meant and i dont disagree with the way he chooses to pick his choices. Im just saying that the title of the thread is open to both ways of thinking on the subject and i dont think people should be told they misunderstand the thread.
OK so this is about the BEST BAD films of all time.
Films that are a mess stupid or ridiculous but work.
From so bad it is good to guilty pleasures.

    Blazing Saddles,

This is the original post. So as you can see most of the movies mentioned fit right into what was asked.

Flash Gordon (1980). Link. Utterly laughable. But it was the utterly brilliant Queen soundtrack that made it.

I've had a good flick through this thread, and I don't think i've spotted it, but how Road House hasn't been mentioned astounds me. It is the king of bad but good movies.

    No Retreat No Surrender.

The first film i ever seen Van Dame in. He was the bad guy the kid was fighting in the end. When the kid he fights hit him first in the ring, he utters the words "so it is you, the kid, is it not". I think thats all van dame said for the whole movie. I think he was dubbed also. Anybody seen it should know the part. Hilarious:D
Bruce lee even comes back from the dead to train the kid.:D

The trailer and end fight are on youtube. Would have put it up but i have no idea on how to put a youtube clip in my post. Would appreciate if someone could tell me how. Cheers.

Is this really a bad film?
One of my favorite's growing up as a kid 2/3 aren't great tho

it was one of mine too. I think the whole film is up on youtube. Its so badly acted, its cheap, some of the scenes are speeded up, like the part when he is running. Its so cheesy its great.
