Dublin Colleges Paintball League '08

    The date has been set for the first speedball tournament for the colleges in the Dublin Area. It will be on Saturday November 22nd, 2008 and it will be held at Barrage Paintball Ashbourne. It is going to be a fun event that will serve as a community developing exercise and some training. There will be no medals or trophies, to keep costs down.

    Barrage are no strangers to Inter-varsity paintball so they will look after us very well. For those if you not familiar with Barrage, check out their mini-site HERE

    Basic Game Info So Far:
    5-man teams (bigger squad allowed)
    Paint capped at 1,000 per team per game
    Own markers allowed - uncapped semi
    League Format, highest points at end wins
    Other rules will follow Millennium Series

    Costs:
    No confirmed info just yet, awaiting on prices. But there will be a cap on paint per game so that will help team to estimate costs. Also, there will be no medals or trophies or any of that to keep costs down.

    Time:
    At that time of year, the evenings get dark fairly quick so we would want to be starting for 11am at the latest. That means people turn up at 9.30 and get ready.

    Want to enter your team?
    If you are in the Dublin Area (City and County) then register on paintballer.ie and get in touch with Richie and we will see about getting you entered

    Can we use our own markers?
    Yes you can. But if it is electronic then it will have to be set to un-capped semi-automatic. Response trigger on a Tippmann will be illegal.

    Will gear be supplied?
    Yes, if your a new college to paintball and don't have your own gear but who want to enter for the craic, then every thing you need will be supplied. Just try and get some coloured t-shirts for your team.
