Try vinegar or nail polish remover. Maybe petrol on a rag to dissolve the glue?

acetone or nail polish remover (acetone's the active ingredient) will do it no problem.

WD40 & a rag, there is no problem that those two can't resolve!

Its actually a great one to cover scratches on a painted surface, only lasts until it rains however.

Just get daddy to get you a new car (you knew it was coming :p).

In all serious, wd40 clears almost everything like this, and you can get a pen of it if you're worried about it going everywhere. Steel wool is a no no, and has undoubtedly left some scratches.

Window scraper and warm water. Get them in most super markets or DIY shops. Only a few euro.

WD40, is there anything it can't do?
Most go down as the most useful products around :)

Oh, as said nail varnish (acetone) is what you want for this

surprised at the terrible replies here.

if its on glass, use a blade to scrape off. that's the norm.

im in dcu too, have gotten a fair few of those stickers. At least they have changed them in recent times, early last year they took hours to get off fully!

I would have suggested some white spirit and some cotton woll or kitchen roll or both. We use that to remove adhesives in work?

Not really a correct post for this thread, but I can't resist it since I found the answer to the problem of such stickers. A few years ago I was over in the UK and had to fly out from Heathrow for the day. I parked in one of their carparks, late for my flight, in the only space I could find, but adjacent cars had parked in such a way that my wheels were on the white line on one side. When I got back, and facing a long drive to Pembroke Dock, there was a bloody great sticker on my window telling me I hadn't parked properly. It wouldn't come off. I was tired and I flipped. I went to the car park office and demanded the manager. I told him I was going to sue his company for damaging my car, and was going to call the cops to accuse him of vandalism, and then have his blood. He went from indifferent to apologetic in 30 seconds and ended up carefully taking it off with a scraper and lots of hot water while I stood over him simmering. Oh, and I suspect that being six foot two and fourteen stone helped a bit too:D

Sod the removal stuff, where do I get the stickers?
I'll put them all over that fecking green punto down my road.

Grade 000 steel wool is fine. Another thing you can use is a 50:50 mix of ammonia and water.

Petrol / wd40 probably easiest though.

Apparently (I haven't tried it), Diet Coke is an excellent removal agent for these stickers.

It is important that it is Diet Coke though.

Zippo fluid and a rag also works.

    Should have kept the sticker.

Then park wherever you like on campus, get some double sided tape and stick it on your window when you leave your car. When the carpark ninjas see it they'll think they have already got you.

Petrol and a match........ should take off most stickers :D
