How can they not have Chelsea Villa on tv. Joke.

And only 4 games on today. meh.

These TV choices today are very weird.

Two top 6 clashes essentially between Liverpool and City and Chelsea and Villa.

Then two potentially tasty ties between United and Blackburn and Sunderland and Arsenal.

Yet instead we just get the United game, then Newcastle vs. Everton, which will undoubtably be ****e quality football, and West Ham vs. Bolton, a middle of the table clash.

    Weird weird choices.

    ---

I think this weekend is going to go weirdly well for United. Why? No idea :)

I think the City and Villa games were rescheduled because of the UEFA cup but they had been planned for Saturday TV.

PHB you'd get some odds on that outcome. Now's a good time to play Chelsea and I think there's a decent chance that they might lose their incredible home record. Didn't bet on it today though. Maybe against Liverpool if their players don't return. Or else next year against Manchster United...

Dont people realise every club has to be shown a certain amount of times every year? And sky dont care about quality football usually. Its usually the top 4 games with manu v liverpool etc which are 90% of the time ****e or with teams with new managers/relegation battle/without manager and struggling etc

    +1
Song offers nothing. Cant understand why Nasri didnt start. Van Persie is wasted in midfield. Surely thats what they have Febregas for?

What is that really cool website that shows what matches are tv?

This is proving to be an extremely difficult tie for Arsenal. Regarding the goal, am not sure whether it was out or in from the replays.

    **** me

that is an un-****ing-real goal, amazing

Good for Richardson aswell, he messed up, but he put some bloody effort in, won the tackle, and created the goal. Sums up his good performance today.

Jaysus, poor Arsenal.. Well on their well to losses against Fulham, Hull and Sunderland in their first 7 games of the season. Wouldn't surprise me to see Arsenal get one back though with 4 mins of time added on.

Yep, very much a point gained rather than 2 lost.

While people will say Sunderland ****ed up, imo they were fantastic today, rode their luck a little, and Arsenals quality came through in the end to score a goal which they deserved [had 1 good one ruled out after all]. Sunderland were great.

Step 1 out of 4 for a great weekend for United.

With any luck, by the end of the week, we'll be

2 behind Arsenal with a game in hand.
4 behind Chelsea/Liverpool with a game in hand.

After the shocking start to the season, I'd be bloody happy with that.

at 15:00 yes, but 90 secs from the end having been 1 up, don't think so, still they set out for a draw so they got the result they wanted

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

4 mins of extra time and a goal - is Wenger Fergie in disguise? Still, thats a good result
    for Sunderland and Liverpool/Chelsea/Villa etc!

bollocks. you can point to the unfairly disallowed goal i guess, but Arsenal were pretty awful today. RVP really should have scored against Gordon that time, there was plenty of space at the near post to just poke it in but under pressure all he ever does is smack it.

apart from that the midfield were pretty awful. I don't like it when Fabregas plays in such an advanced role, but even so his passing was pretty dire at times. Song was over ambitious a lot of the time and Denilson struggled to impose himself. What really annoyed me though is that even though the midfield was already really crowded Adebayor kept coming deep.

wasn't happy with the substitution of Walcott today. they were really lacking width, and even though he wasn't having a good game he was the only man on the pitch to provide it. RVP coming from that LWF position is pretty useless, he doesn't really offer anything from those wide positions. i would have preferred to see him subbed at half time for Nasri, i think they might have stretched the back line a bit more.

overall today a point was what they deserved.

Feel bad for Sunderland, but oh well! They'll be pleased with the point I'm sure. Gordon really should have done better for Fabregas's goal IMO. Great save from him for Van Persie's shot though.

To be fair we were very poor today, didn't help that they had everyone behind the ball, that said we never looked like scoring until they scored.

was dissapointed with Andy Reid today...passing wasn't up to the standard he can and normally has.

thought keanes subs were very odd when they scored...cisse should have been kept on for the counter attack.
