back bulbs keep going?

the back bulbs in my car keep going every 6-8 weeks. advance pitstop guy tells me nothing wrong with fuses etc and this is normal. obviously it is not, does anyone have an idea as to what problem might be

could be corroded comtacts on the bulb holder itself or wonky wiring

I had the same problem on my last mondeo. Turned out to be corrosion on the contacts due to water getting in. Never made sence to me why it effected all the lights but I am told the lighting is in series and that is why all were shorted out.

mechanic on boards free to set me straight on that one !!!
