sorry to dig up an old thread but having the same issue as described in the op

basically i ve always been getting top speeds from astraweb

i am on the 120 mb

but for the last 2 nights i have been going as fast as a 2 mb

as far as a speedtest reveals, there are no issues there so either its

1 a problem with astraweb or

2 upc limiting my speed with astraweb only

    anyone has any idea?
Try a different astraweb server. I had problems with astraweb but changed provider. I never found the speeds great using ssl news now and no problems.

    Are you using SSL?

ye i had the same issue with astraweb, was going full speed after midnight but only about 600kb during the day. Signed up for newsdemon and had no such issue so its astraweb who are throttling.

    thanks for the replies

i use the general astraweb server which never gave me problems over 3 years that i have been a member so it is odd that it started acting all of a sudden

the eu server did not seem to work on saturday so maybe they are having issues

i paid 1 year in full so i'd rather not change provider right now

i m not using ssl by the way
