    And we're off.

McCain is out of the gate hard with the concept of buying all those loans.

Tough question from Brokaw though on 'name your Treasury guy'. This bodes well.

I'm detecting a bit of nerves/stage fright with John McCain, his voice sounds a bit shaky.

i can't get over all the politicians talking about the middle class and not mentioning the working class, it sounds so insulting to the working class who suffer most now.

Is that a hospital name-band on mccains wrist or what?

I'm aware we're ten minutes in, but I think McCain is doing very well. He sounds like he cares, Obama just sounds like he's talking.

The format of these debates annoys me, as there is no way for anyone to point out that no one ever actually answers the God damn question they are asked.

How have you missed the bracelet sagas?

It's a KIA bracelet. Has the name of a serviceman who was killed.

i cna't get over all the politicians talking about the middle class and not mentioning hte working class, it sounds so insulting to the working class who suffer most now.

I think in US parlance, "middle class" is anyone with a job, even if its McDonalds; they wouldn't like the term "working class" it would sound "socialist" to them .....

Obama got in the point on making the chief execs pay! Nice one.

Obama did ok on the Freddie and Fanny point, could have done better.

McCain has to be careful he doesn't do too much personal attacks.

What was McCain on about eBay for? Bizarre

Obama coming back strong at McCain re Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac - doing a good job saying you're not interested in politicans pointing fingers, it's how it effects you the voters.

Brokaw doing a very good job on the probing follow-up questions so far.

Ugh - poor effort by McCain on the will it get worse before it gets better.

Also why is McCain mentioning cronyism regarding Obama - it really rings false imo.

Another shot at Obama with increased spending..

McCain's at it again - every answer so far has included a dig. Most of them have sounded weak so far, and my friends at CNN tell me that the Uncommitted Ohio Voters with remote control widgets aren't buying them.

Was McCain taking down the list of 3 things??

Some of the 700bn ends up in terrorists hands. WTF??

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,967 ✭✭✭Pyr0

Anyone else getting tired of hearing Macain saying "My friends" ? :p

Obama started weakish there on the why should we trust any of the politicans question but improved as he progressed.

McCain's answer that bipartisanship and his maverickness is the answer to the lack of trust in the politicans who helped cause this mess is very poor. Getting bogged down in detailed minutae trying to attack Obama.

    - Moderator has called McCain twice on going over the time limit

Shocking effort by McCain there with the priority question - asking for the question to be repeated and then saying he'd treat all the same :(

WTF is he going on about money ending up in the hands of terrorists?
Has he been talking tips from Palin?

Moderator calling McCain on his breaking the rules a third time.

    .

Not the first reference he's made to eBay in the campaign. Remember the 1st sit down with that pastor some months back and McCain listed the CEO of eBay as one of the three people he would ask for their advice.

good shot from obama tying energy dependance to the space race.

obamas shots at mccain dont connect with ohio independents either. they both need to put the love gloves back on.

    Earmarks now.

If he keeps attacking it'll look very negative.

McCain just about edging it so far!

yah i know but if there's middle class theres going to be lower(working) class, so it sounds like the specifically ignoring the lower classes, saying we don't care about you.

obama keeps comparing gov budgeting to family budgeting...

Can I vote for Brokaw? He's found some good questions. I like the one about expected sacrifices.
