Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have not been so excited about Shelbourne in 7 years. Last time I was truly excited was when Scully and McCarthy were in the defence.

I lost my faith with all the plastic fans between 2003-2006, however, with Mark Rutherford back, its just like old times !!!!

Guys hold your horse Thursday nights game is the next BIG game to happen in the league. Dundalk take on Limerick at oriel park. I'm hoping we can get our goal difference up , i would hate the league on either side of the fence to be decided on goal difference.

To be honest, I think this game is a bigger test to whether yis will win the league than your games against us, Fingal and Waterford.

It's been the lesser teams yous have been dropping points against the past few months. Should be a very interesting game. Come on Limerick:D

    Why, considering the following

Anyway, Shels won the League on GD in '06 (even though we should have won it by three points, the Dublin City affair crap).

If the GD is the same, it will go to Goals Scored. I think Dundalk have the Upper Hand when it comes to that.

Exciting times in the First Division, for sure.

Now Des my old friend , the reason for me wanting goals is that the reality is that the league will come down to that , hence my statement but that's neither here nor there. Limerick certainly will be no push over and im hoping for a 1 nil last minute goal again :D , I will take anything as long as the three points go to dundalk :D

Best first division in years , how or how is there no coverage for it on TV.

While it may be exciting in terms of going to the wire, the standard is actually shítter than a shít thing on the shíttest day of the year.

I don't want to see any First Division games next nor near a tv.

I think bog-tv showed a match last season near the end though.

                            PLD PTS
    Shelbourne 33 65
    Dundalk 34 65
    Waterford United 33 60
    Sporting Fingal 33 60
    Limerick 37 34 51
    Monaghan United 32 37
    Longford Town 33 34
    Wexford Youths 33 33
    Athlone Town 33 28
    Kildare County 32 22

Still too close to call. If we don't get 3 points off Fingal tomorrow it just compounds the issue!

Another ****ty performance by Dundalk. But strangely enough I still see us as favourites to go up. Athlone and Kildare left for Dundalk.

Shels need 7 points from their last 3 games against Fingal, Waterford and Limerick. Not gonna happen. So yeah, great news.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,722 ✭✭✭ibh

Terrible performance from Dundalk last night. Very few clear cut chances, so didn’t exactly bombard the Limerick goal.
The defending for the Limerick goal would rarely be see at amateur level never mind LOI. Corner travelled waist height across the 6 yard box to the back post where it was finished. Limerick had the better of the midfield for most the game as well. Cassidy was badly missed in CM cause he was on up front.
Dundalk got what they deserved from this game. Really didn’t seem up to it and just not good enough.

    Tonight's games.

    Kildare County -v- Waherfur 7.45
    Monahgan -v- Longford Town 8.00
    Shelbourne -v- Torpedo Franchise 8.00

Shels, Torpedo and Waherfur and Dundalk can still go up.

If Shels get points tonight they'll be clear on top, with 2 games left.

If Shels lose by more than one goal they'll be top on GD of +1
If Shels lose by two goals, Dundalk will go top on Goals Scored
If Shels lose by more than two goals, Dundalk will go top on GD

If Shels lose and Waterford win, Waterford and Torpedo will be two points behind the top two with two games left.

Squeaky Bum to the max tonight.

Wow, we're actually back in it now. This day last week I thought we were dead and buried, but now we're still in the thick of it. Obviously we need 6 from 6, but it's not like either of the teams ahead of us are incapable of dropping points or anything.

If I was to be honest though, I can see us taking Shels at home and Dundalk going on to win it.

Congrats on bringing 20 fans to a vital derby 3 miles from your home ground.

Shít fan, fake club, shít fan, fake club.

You should have paid your grand and got back into Dalymount tbh.

There was a power surge all over the area this evening. Nothing to do with Shels.

    Or asian betting syndicates.

    Cnuts.

18 Fingal fans at the game last night.

Jaysus, even Dundalk had 10 and they weren't playing.

Same old crap from the shels. As usual you never fail to entertain:rolleyes:
Let me know when you have lost that chip on your shoulders

We have terrible support wont dispute it, but i just love how we annoy you so much

I also think you would want to ask questions about your own support considering the club that you are. Not greatest to be honest.

oh and i paid 15 and got 15 back. What the others did has nothing to do with me.

I hope you'll be paying in MOnday.

Don't flatter yourself. You don't annoy us and we don't have a chip on your shoulder regarding you lot.

We're merely pointing out your piss poor support which everyone did to Dublin City. That reminds me, how are they getting on these day? ;)

Iv had this argument so many times. Its not sporting fingals fault we where going to replace you.
The reason it nearly happened is shels fault, no one else.
For what its worth im glad it didnt happen.

I will be happy to pay the 15 on monday.

Somebody has to help pay to fix the lights ;)
