Would it be a fair comparison to square these phone up side by side?
Could LG have an iphone 3G killer on it's hands?

    Both are 3G
    Both have wifi
    Both have widgets
    Both are motion sensitive

The LG has an 8mp camera and the Apple a 2mp camera.

Is that the only real difference?

It's also got no 3.5 headphone jack.

And it's still touchscreen, that's what annoys me the most about the iphone. What's wrong with good old fashioned buttons?

I've never googled it, but is the purpose of this thread to sell an "LG Renoir"?

The main difference is the touchscreens. The Renoir has a resistive touchscreen while the iPhone has a capacitive. Resistive touchscreens are inferior; they are less responsive and squish when you press them. They're also made of plastic which scratches much easier, and the reviews of the Renoir's software aren't great. The Renoir is cheaper though.
