How're lads heading to lovely Leitrim on Sat morning. Worked the shore at Laugh McHugh last time,Got my first pike and a few perch.Even got a little perch on a small mepps down the bttom of the garden in the house we're staying in Eslin Bridge! McHugh was the nearest to us but might go further afield this trip. Any recomendations? And is there an angling shop in the area? And would it be cheaper to get the gear in Dublin before we go,Is tackle like petrol more expensive the further you get from the big smoke?

    Thanks

you should try creenagh from the stands for pike..its just outside mohill..meant to be god tench and bream there too..
lough rinn at the sheep walk is great feeder fishing..im sure there would be pike there too..the rinn river can be good too.mate of mine had two 20's out of it one day..and a third nearly broke his rod..but got away.
great fishing tackle shop in carrick at the roundabout called toomans..knowledgeable guys too..they can normally put you on the right track for fishing.
