Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Basically jsut got the game. Installed it and then set up my login and username. Now its trying to run the patch.
However now when I try and run the game everytime I enter my login or username it just brings me back to the Patcher screen and says:

Authentication Failed. Please re-enter your login credentials.

Now I've done this I dont know how may times and am sure Im using the right login and password.

    Anyone else experienced this?

    EDIT: GOT IT! :o

Ah yeah I had DirectX 10
    Didnt realise you needed 9.0c

Irrelevant now because after all that:

'System Video Card Failed Minimum Specs -- Warhammer will now terminate'

Ah its some crappy integrated thing that came with the computer. Thought it might be ok to run the game on low settings though...

Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family.

Dont know why I expected it to run it really...

It doesn't have the needed vertex shader. You could try 3dAnalyze and attempt to emulate it in software, but it'll kill CPU performance.

Yeah was just looking at the requirements and saw that it needs a pixel shader.
I have an old Radeon x550 from my last computer that I took out.
I might put that in the new computer when I go home and see if it works....

That would have the needed vertex and pixel shaders. Performance would be poor but still better than that Intel integrated one.

At least until I can raise the funds for a decent GFX anyway....
Gonna try install it on my laptop now aswell and see if that works.

    Cheers Spear

That'll be fine as well, better than the x550.

Precisely. Id rather learn how to get my Orc on...
Actually Kilith are you playing it on your laptop wireless or wired?
And if its wireless hows your ping?

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 23,216 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kiith

I'm on wireless on both laptop and desktop. I'm stuck with IBB 2 meg at the moment, and its working fine. Occasional interruptions in the signal, but nothing major. I'm not sure exactly what my ping is (is there a ping meter in War?), but in Warcraft its always under 100ms.

Also, why cant people get my name right :(

Sorry Kiith. I guess my eyes must have imagined an L.
    I apologise profusely Kiith

Yeah ping was a bad choice of words I think. Cheers though Kiith
