Anyone know what they're doing behing Mount Symon Estate? See JCB's pulling in there every morning for the last while. Hope its not more houses!!

Both applications by the same company maybe its going to be a new housing estate with a creche also now being applied for.

This was a few years ago that I heard and could be quite wrong, but there's a bit of land there behind Mount Symon, Portersgate, Windamere etc boardered on the far side by the Ongar road. There is a listed building/house in there that is to be re-developed & restored, the stables (can be seen from the Ongar Road) to be turned into 3 bed houses and about 150 or so apartments to be built on the remainder of the land with a creche facility, although with the market being as it is this coulda changed as you've as much a chance floggin a 01 Peugeot 206 than you do of selling an apartment. Like i said though, I could be wrong as this was back in the day when you could leave your bike, unlocked, outside a shop for 3 days and when you came back it's be nice and shiney with a freshly oiled chain.

Unfortunately a few of these building in the area have accidentally caught fire, usually at 3 in the morning on a back holiday Monday, if one was of a suspicious mind:mad:
