Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

THES 2008 rankings.

    If anyone is interested, the THES university rankings for 2008 are out today. UCD was placed 177th last year, it's now placed at 108th. Trinity have broken into the top 50, and are placed at 49. A 69 place jump for UCD is quite extraordinary.

    The Arts Program Office has had its opening hours slashed, there are plans to slash library opening hours, film studies students had to launch a petition to combat faulty equipment, there has been a 3% cut in payroll and there are plans to introduce charges for the student health service. Bradys solution to this is to issue a memo to staff telling them to lay off the custard creams and jaffa cakes while he advocates an australian style loan system which has left the government there $15 billion in debt.

    i am surprised we are up on the rank:Dsince we are still 'free' of 3rd level study.
    brady is right,the focus on 4th level edu is the key...

    University ranking is BS imo since people can always come up with some ranking that put them high up in the list.
