Laptop from UK delivered late - refund?

I ordered a laptop from a UK website. On the phone and by online chat to their sales representatives they assured me it would be delivered the next day.

I explained to them the reason that I needed it by the next day - I was flying to Korea in two days and couldn't use the laptop unless it was delivered in a day.

Unfortunately I did not record our phone conversations. I have an email copy of the chat transcript. When the laptop was eventually delivered, the courier receipt wasn't signed and the laptop wasn't accepted.

Am I legally entitled to a refund?
