Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Might have been thinking of a pistol crossbow - they've been pointed at members of the Gardai in the past, hence the concern I'd imagine.

    No doubt about it.

Thing is though if someone asked me about laying blocks, plastering a wall I would not have a clue as I have received no training and don't have any knowledge on the subject.

The gardai get no significant training on firearms either so its hardly surprising that they don't know these things.

I have lost my patience over it in the past (not in front of the gardai mind) but I suppose I just have to accept its not the guy at the counter who is at fault.

The Gardai as an organisation just need to take it more seriously and give the lads the training or make it a full time position or something.

If you can do the job, do it. If you can't do the job, just teach it. If you really suck at it, just become a union executive or politician.
