Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lads just wondering is the odometer in most bikes a kiliometre system or mile system?

I've almost 6000 up on my Innova but don't know whether that means 6000km or miles!!!!

Should be what ever your speedometer reads. Mine has a digital display which will show either. The Oddometer adjusts to be in the same units as the Speedo.

The Irish system changed from Miles to Kilometers on 20th January 2005. All new vehicles registered in the state from January 2005 should be in kilometers. Anything before that was in miles.
But do keep in mind that used vehicles imported into the state prior to 2005 may also be in kilometers, depending on what country they were imported from.

If it is imported from Japan or more or less any country in Europe except the UK it will be in Kilometres.

Mine is a 2004 Honda Innova and the speedo is MPH primarily with small KMH.

The odometer however is digital and it currently reads as soemthing like 5668.6 - that .6 is a decimal so the unit would be splity into ten parts such as you could with a kilometre...

    Hmm....

Maybe I should find a sign that says "1 mile to..." and try it out!

If the Speedo is in MPH then the odometer should be in Miles.

They do tenths of a mile on MPH speedos too, they don't do fractions just for the last bit to be akward. ;)

If the speedo is primarily in miles then so will the Odometer be.
