    Hi Guys,

Our beloved family pet was stolen from the yard this evening.
We were away playing the parish league with our boys and arrived back about 5.00pm so within the hour and a half the pup was snatched as the gate was closed in a different way to the way I left it.

She is a 18mth to 2 year old Black and Tan shepherd mix wearing a red collar, Height up to an adults thigh, Good looking dog, floppy ears for a shepherd and a small spot/scrape on her snout.
Good natured and great with kids.

If anybody see her please PM me as soon as possible.

She was lifted from the Ballysimon area close to Bohermore, Caherconlish, Ballyneety, Drombana. Co Limerick

    Many thanks
    Musha
Photo is about a 1 year old, She is bigger but still as cute

Aww that's horrible :( They must have been watching the house? She's beautiful. As seen on many threads on here people can get their pets back so don't give up hope. Try as hard as possible, put up posters, email all the SPCA's etc and hopefully you will get her back. Best of luck.

Did you see it in there this evening? Because it went missing this evening in Limerick so doubt it would be the same dog?

Well Thank God We got her back late last night,

Somebody must have opened the gate and let her out and a neighbor found her bunked down with her dogs across the road. It was only when she went to feed her own that our pup was found (she has 5 dogs so the extra bark did not ring any bells) :D

Any way panic over and Kids snot and tears all dried up

Thank for all your kind words and help

Good news. And if she isn't microchipped get her done as soon as you can and make sure you have tags with your phone number on her collar :)

So glad you got her back, Musha! I'm the very person that took that photo of Zara, as she was then! (I work with Limerick Animal Welfare and myself and Ann are great friends.)

There are reports of dog thefts in County Limerick at the moment (saw it over in the Limerick County thread) so we all need to be extra vigilant right now.

Glad to hear you got her back she has great markings and would be a target for re-sale, take upto date pictures of her every two months, put on a collor with a tag that says neutered and needs meds and your phone no. on the other side, get her chipped and have to different vets scan her and call the reg. no in and make sure they are giving you the right address back and do it every time you have her vac'd just to keep it checked up on, you'd be surprised that 60% of all chips are not reg. or untracable.

    Good luck.

She is a wonderful Dog, there is great bidding in her, She had a collar on with the contact details and the neighbor knew she belonged to us but she didn't think we were home as the cars were parked around the back it was only when is started to get dark and we turned the lights on that she knew we were home.

Thank for all you good wishes, Hopefully she will be with us for many more years.

Boomerang>> as always a great job with Ann & LAW. She has turned into a great family pet.

Interesting quote - our little pup is approaching 6 months, was micro-chipped by the breeder's vet & has been to our vet a couple of times.
Can you elaborate on what you mean there about having two different vets scanning the chip?

Do you mean, making sure the address coming up is from the central database & not the vets own records?

Great news on getting your dog back Musha, that's a great photo of her.
